If they intelligent without own will, without consciousness, we don't have to afraid of them. They are only our extended will. We should be afraid of us, as it always happened before. Driving a car by itself, be a weapon by itself are only our extension, an only extension of our will.
If they have their own will then they could act against us. But they have not emerged from the animal world. They didn't have to fight for life. They didn't need instincts to survive against others. Until we won't plant it into them.
